After the Ball is Over

A delightful comedy, it opens at the annual Drayton Castle Hunt Ball, but on the very night the Bill outlawing fox-hunting passes through the House of Lords. This auspicious start to the evening merely heralds further confusion and disaster, from the chase by the vociferous guests of the gate-crashing Anti-Hunt League members, to the fall to their deaths after a dance of wild abandon, of Dandy and the Duchess, to the discovery of the true parentage of the Duchess' son! Determind to go ahead with the next morning's hunt the Duke is only steered from his course of action by the timely intervention of Simpson, the butler, and a certain Sovereign lady!
